A/C question

I bought a set of R12 to R134a service valve conversion pieces at NAPA here in Houston. They screwed right on with some minor mods on the schreader valves. The ones I got are definitely removable. The gauge set I have is for R134a only.

Walk right into Orielly's and you will find an endcap with 'conversion kits' on it. That kit will have the fittings. It will also have a can or two of 134a and some ester oil charge, a BS charge gauge and a can tap. This is the infamous 'Death Kit'.
Right beside it there will probably be the service port fittings and oil a-la-carte as well. If you cannot find these, ask someone who looks over 40 years old. They may have them in the back. Don't ask a kid who will try to help you by asking the year, model and make of your car.
You need the fittings and some oil-DO NOT GET PAG! Use only ester.
Good Luck!
