A/C and P/S removal questions

I am going to remove my A/C and P/S soon, just had a question on each. 1)When I remove the A/C, will that affect my heating system at all?? Just not sure if the A/C compresser and all the plumbing had anything to do with the heat. (Question 2)- when I remove the P/S, can I just take off the pump and use the stock P/S rack without it, or will I have to buy a manual steering rack? Thanks!

1) You won't get any cold air from your vents. You can still get hot air unless you remove you heater core.
2). Keep the p/s rack, and plumb the pressure lines together. This allows a quicker lock-lock ratio than converting to a manual rack.
Good luck, lemme know if you need more info.

That's fine, as long as you don't remove the evaporator that connects the blower to the heater unit. You would need the piece from a Non-AC car to connect the two if you want to remove that (and it's about 5 lbs IIRC)
