A/C in a non-A/C car
I have an '89 non-turbo convertible that never had A/C. The logicon has a functioning button for A/C that lights when pushed. There appears to be an engine bracket that would hold A/C stuff if the car had it, as well as some unused wiring connectors (green in color?), like the cars are made at the factory with all this stuff for A/C and just not used if it is not equipped with it. Is this true? What I'd like to find out is if I can take all the A/C stuff off an A/C equipped car(like an '88 Turbo II) and install it on mine. Anyone ever done this? What would this involve? Any recommendations on this project? How about converting to R134 refrigerant while making this swap? Thanks for any info!

someone probably removed the A/C from the vert, otherwise i dont think the button would be there and there certainly wouldnt be connectros just dangling around in the engine bay.
