the LEFT (old) one looks like the samden compressor. apparently there were 2 different compressors that came from FACTORY (its in the FSM)

i dont know the reason why there would be 2 different ones.

the left one there is what i took off of my car 1989 gtu i believe its a samden[sp?] compressor, the other one begins with an 'N' (my fsm is down in the basement)

p.s. anyone want to buy my condensor or compressor?

Sanden is definetly the old one.

Nippondenso is the *new* one.

They take different hoses. So your stuck.

If you go to the series five Heating/Air Conditoning section, it clearly shows the Sanden and the Nippondenso and hose arrangement. Free, online, fsm.
