the LEFT (old) one looks like the samden compressor. apparently there were 2 different compressors that came from FACTORY (its in the FSM)

i dont know the reason why there would be 2 different ones.

the left one there is what i took off of my car :) 1989 gtu i believe its a samden[sp?] compressor, the other one begins with an 'N' (my fsm is down in the basement)

p.s. anyone want to buy my condensor or compressor? :)

well the lines are totally different for these two compressors- so i need one that matches my old compressor (but of course i need one that works) i'd really like to know what the new one is from so i can sell it.

Yes, there was a Sanden and I think nippon denso.

Sanden is definetly the old one.

Nippondenso is the *new* one.

They take different hoses. So your stuck.

If you go to the series five Heating/Air Conditoning section, it clearly shows the Sanden and the Nippondenso and hose arrangement. Free, online, fsm.
