A/C Clarification

Been reading up on the A/C threads and have some statements that I wanna clear up and some questions I would like answered.

OK r12 is the best but unavailable; where can I get freeze12 in SMALL quantities to use that?

Where can I replace the Dryer/reciever? How much is that or can I just replace the bag I have read about.

Do I need to replace all the Orings? How hard is that? Do I have to take off Body panels or the dash(pleasesayno)?

Is there any thing else I need to know?

Thank you for your insight.

No 'bag' replacement. You need a brand new receiver/drier. Pm me if yours is the one with bracket welded on to the canister. I can get it for you cheap. If yours is clamped around the canister, you are on your own.

No.

You must replace the o-rings where ever you take the system apart. The receiver drier uses an odd size. I can send the orings with the new one.

Yes. There are lots of things.

You need 2 cans of Freeze12, no more no less.
You need professional style gauges.
You need a real vacuum pump to pull a real vacuum. If it connects to an air compressor, it is not a real vacuum pump.
You need to leak test the system before you put your new Freeze12 into the system.

You can rent gauges and vacuum pumps 'for free' at Autozone.

Good Luck, ask questions.
