Bye Bye Engine :'(
Bye Bye Engine :'(
Starts off at work,
It was idiling kind of weird, but like normal I suppose, I go to get on the street and see my girlfriend in her car so I accelerated, was going right past 6800 RPM and then pop it felt like my engine back fired, but not loud at all, it's happened before, you know where it would jsut buck for no reason, I thought it was the belt due to the fact it's been slipping all month...get home tear **** off find a loose engine ground (the main one off the ECU harness so I think BINGO!) but apparently it was too late, or it didn't really matter as the car is back firing like ***, and sounds like it's on one rotor with the poor mans compression test (one spark plug out at a time).
Time to find a piston powered car, I have no money to rebuild this motor as I've already dumped what money I had into the Supercharge

That really sucks. Not to be mean and jump to personal gain, but i'm sure everyone else will be asking this same question: "Are you parting it out?" if so can I get a drivers side air vent cover that sits on the dash right above the door vent, as well as the ashtray cover, and your S5 tails?
I will be parting the performance aftermarket parts, all others will be left on the car as I don't have time to have a junk yard car in my back yard as I have no space...the car's in excellent condition besides this.

that sucks. its cheaper to rebuild that engine then buying a car. buying a new car might present more problems and the intial cost of the car would also knock you back.
being a rotard is a bad thing I know, but I think you should rethink what you're doing. you also dumped more into the car then you can get back. the car is worth more to you then anyone else
when my engine popped i used that time to have it rebuilt and ported. now i love it

yeah I do agree tho with this... you should rebuild her... find someplace to let her live till she is better.

Carb is fine if you just drive to work, park, come back 8 hours later and head home. I thought that's the kind of job I would have, but I'll be travelling about 80% of the time, so waiting for the car to warm up/etc becomes a bit of a hassle.
