Buzz buzz buzz
Buzz buzz buzz
I just went out on a spirited drive in my t2 and I heard the buzz out of 1st gear. It was about half a second. What was the intention behind the buzz? Is it supposed to be like a shift light? Or is it a sign that I just killed my engine?
Yeah, high RPM isn't terrible on the engine, and helps burn off gunk. Now don't drive everywhere as if you where in a rally race, but don't granny the motor either. Moderation is key.
Think about it, the eccentric shaft rotates 3 times per revolution of a rotor. That means the rotor, at 8000 rpm is only rotating at 2666.7 rpm.

Oh crap. No way. Haha. I always Thought that the more you baby them the better for them. I was always affraid because I know the water seals can blow if you drive too hard. Also my rpm guage only goes to 7. I suppose that's because of the turbo. So how often should I let the buzzer ring? I tried doing a search for more info here but I didn't get anything.

Oh. Ya I cheked the website last night and saw them. I also saw that they have aluminum turbo inlet tubes. I hought that might be a nice upgrade. I remember reading that whenever you upgrade anything turbo related it's best to upgrade the fuel injecters. Is that really neccassary? As far as I know my car has some kind of magnaflow exhaust. I haven't noticed anything wrong. My timing is off tho. Haha
