Thermal Pellet Question

Ok, I just picked up this motor and I am really confused. I am going to try to explain this to the best of my ability. This is my 4th motor, but my 1st time seeing something like this. So, I took off the bolt that holds the front hub to swap the pulley, and to my surprise, no thermal pellet comes out. After inspection the 3/4 bolt or the center of the e-shaft looks like any other I've seen. If you look directly in the shaft you will see a bronze plug or something of that nature. There is no where the thermal pellet or spring can fit in this thing. The 3/4 bolt does not have the hole in it like my others, it is one solid piece also. I have no idea what this is and what I am suppose to do about this. The guy that I bought, the motor from said it was run on premix which I am going to do anyway, but I need to know what I'm dealing with here before something breaks. Any advice? I hope I explained this decently. The motor is a 91 N/A as far as I know.

Sounds like the E-shaft is from a '84-'85 13B.

That could be possible. If so, is there anything special that needs to be done?

No, nothing special to do. Just put it back like it came apart. Mazda started in '86 installing the thermal pellets. That E-shaft is somewhat of an upgrade.
