shift buzzer

There is a red line buzzer in rx7s'. I think it goes off at 7200 rpm..in the cars wih a 7,000 rpm redline. I guess in the ones with a 8,000 rpm red line go off a 8200 rpm.

I like the buzzer because I can focus on the road when I am racing and not looking at the tach to know when to shift, I don't really need it though since I can hear when to shift by how the engine sounds.

is 7200/8200 kinda like shift now or you're gonna hurt me, or is like shift now for max power, or is it like your momma?

The buzzer goes off at 6800rpm, so that by the time you hear it and react by lifting off to change gear, you've reached but not exceeded 7000rpm. Unless you've done mods serious enough to shift the stock peak power point of 6500rpm, you've past it when you hear the buzzer.
