Buying some coilovers, need opinions

I've been looking for some coilovers for my FC, and I came across a friend of a friend who has a "rx-7 shop" and is selling some coilovers off of their shop car.
He said that he doesn't know what kind of shocks and springs they are, but that they were Awesome on the car.

Will anyone be able to identify these so I can know how much to make an offer on them?

This is a bit off topic, but when I'm trying to sell something to someone I usually go with the old "I don't know..." followed by a nice "BUT" and end that off with "they were awesome".

if they are a high quality name shock like tein, bilstein, hks or anything like that made in japan theyd be worth more than 500+ , if they are cheaper brand or u cant find out what brand i would pay no more than around 400

Maybe GAB coilovers. Looks very similar to a KYB AGX shock and as far as I know GAB makes KYBs or has in the past or the other way around.

I can't tell what in the hell those are. But I surely wouldn't offer him much. If you don't know what kind they are then you won't know what company to contact when/if you need them rebuilt. Just my .02
