Let me ask some questions. How many miles? How's it look under the hood? Body? Any records?

Hey banzai you still have the door grill and glove box? Let me know

Well, for one, ditch the capslock key, holy wow. Second, a well taken care of '92 turbo2 should last to 150,000 miles (not KM) There are always some minor problems, but they can usually be taken care of easily.

#1 an 92 T2 is very rare, and only found in Europe, Japan, AUZ/NZ.

#2 as far as life of the engine it is much like any other car it will depend on the previous owners and their treatment of the vehicle. It is not unusual to hear of T2 motors lasting at least 100K miles and higher, with reasonable maintenance.

Wiper switches not working, headlight switches going bad, idiot cluster time flickering in and out, throttle position sensor wearing out, bypass air control valve getting stuck, leaky injectors. There are a number of small things that tend to happen eventually, if the car was well taken care of, it should be able to go over 180,000 km without a problem.

My advice if you decide to buy it (really it's your decision) would be regular maintace. Flush all the fluids, get brake pads and stuff. As long as the price is right you'll probably be ok.

Good luck
Steven

so we are talking about problems that are easy to fix/ i was worried about big engine problems ones that you can not do anything about
the problem in greece is that their is no good mechanics if problem occurs
how often should i check oil, spark plug, filters

http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/buy1.htm will help with the "standard" problems, though it doesn't cover any turbo related stuff.

Changing oil every 3000 miles or whenever you get bored is a good idea. Spark plugs will possibly vary a little every 10,000 or so is a good idea, however, if you pull them and they look good, then wait a little longer.

Filters also a variable type of thing. Air will depend on atmospheric conditions (dust and what not) or if you buy a k&n you can clean it, any other, genrally if it looks dirty replace it. Fuel filter would be a good idea after you buy the car, just so you know it's new. Oil obviously when you change your oil.

Good luck on your purchase. Let us know how it turns out. Post some pics, we all love pictures.
