buying an fc questions

I've been reading over the rx-7 buyers guides, and a few questions have came up through my research, what i'm soon to be hunting for is a stock" hopefully or at least as close to stock as possible " N/A 2nd gen, which in my hands, the motor will not see any mods at all, perhaps a few suspension tuning though. plans are to have it as a daily driver. and I'll be buying form the US, i'm pretty confident in my procedure, but these are some unknown questions i was hoping you guys/gals will be able to clear up

1-did all 2nd gen rx-7 come with the moon-roof? if not, which year/model didn't come with it?

2-waht about the LSD? if i recall correctly, only the 86-88 both the gxl and GTU models came with the LSD but it didn't " or close to very rare" on the 89-90.

3-the compression tester, i'm planning to pick one of these up, but i'll have to remove the one way check valve first right?, how do i remove this? would the auto-shop guy that i'm buying from know how?

4-how do i know what is a good test in terms of the compression test? i saw the video for a bad test, but can somebody give me a link to a video of a good compression test? i just want to be sure what it sounds/looks like when i'm in the field

5-the buyers guide said to look for bubbling while idle, is it only whats under the radiator cap? or should i watch for bubbling elsewhere? i should probably remove the cap first before starting the car up?

6- i remember reading that i should put my foot down on the throttle 1/4th of the way down before i start the car? true? and if i did do this in conjunction with #5, would everything come spewing out?

7-the 5th and 6th port test, it said to smear grease all over the ports. would vaseline or play-doh work? its been awhile since i've had my head under the hood of an fc, so what am i looking for? and where would i smear this stuff on"the top bit? the bit that looks like it connected to something?" would any of you guys have pictures of a good working port with the smeared stuff on it?

8-the overheating issue, how long into the test drive before i know its okay? i mean if i let the car idle for about 5mins and it doesn't overheat, does that mean its okay? what about when im actually test driving the car? how long in till i get the okay?

9-"the acid test," so revving at 4k rpm for 15secs... i should look for smoking during the 15secs and after right?

I think Questions 1 and 2 can be mostly answered by this thread

Driving the car for 5 mins will give you a better indication as to whether or not it will overheat. I haven't had any overheating problems on an RX-7, but I can tell you that it reaches full operating temps (half-way on temp gauge on my S5) after about 5 minutes of driving immediately after startup. It takes much longer to get there by just letting it idle.

Nope. Base and Sport didn't have the sunroof. Optional on all others but the GXL I think where it was standard. You'll find the sales brochure linked in the FAQ, which will give the correct info.

2-waht about the LSD? if i recall correctly, only the 86-88 both the gxl and GTU models came with the LSD but it didn't " or close to very rare" on the 89-90.
Something like that. In North America, TIIs also got the LSD. Again, check the brochure.

3-the compression tester, i'm planning to pick one of these up, but i'll have to remove the one way check valve first right?, how do i remove this? would the auto-shop guy that i'm buying from know how?
The valve just unscrews. It will be obvious when you see it.

4-how do i know what is a good test in terms of the compression test? i saw the video for a bad test, but can somebody give me a link to a video of a good compression test? i just want to be sure what it sounds/looks like when i'm in the field
Three even bumps above 75 PSI with the throttle held open. Make sure the battery is fully charged.

5-the buyers guide said to look for bubbling while idle, is it only whats under the radiator cap? or should i watch for bubbling elsewhere? i should probably remove the cap first before starting the car up?
With the car stone cold, remove the rad cap and then start it up. Observe for bubbling.

6- i remember reading that i should put my foot down on the throttle 1/4th of the way down before i start the car? true? and if i did do this in conjunction with #5, would everything come spewing out?
Meh, don't worry about putting the throttle 1/4 down.

Use grease.

You'll find pictures of the aux port system in the FSM. See the FAQ for a download.

8-the overheating issue, how long into the test drive before i know its okay? i mean if i let the car idle for about 5mins and it doesn't overheat, does that mean its okay? what about when im actually test driving the car? how long in till i get the okay?
Drive the car. If the temperature goes above 1/4 on an S4 or 1/2 on an S5, then you have a potential issue. If the needle is at the top of the gauge, the car is overheating. It could take a LOT of idling to overheat the car.

9-"the acid test," so revving at 4k rpm for 15secs... i should look for smoking during the 15secs and after right?
Sure.
