I know there are posts on this scattered and im trying to find them but if anyone has the time to let me know what teh scoop is it would help.. I only have till tommorow to decide.. if you guys can give me some advice what to look for it would be awsome!! If you want to make wicked amounts of power, don't buy an NA (especially a vert....heavy). You will be hard pressed to get more then 170HP out of that engine without porting.

Your stock engine will get you in front of that big rig bearing down on you, but a convertible ain't a racecar. I've got 1 and can't stay with the turbos.

The 88s are (I've heard) the lightest of the verts. You can always take out the AC and those stupid headrest speakers/amps to lighten the load.

Have fun.

Hey stop being a hater.I think one of the only convertables worth owning is the 7.I personally think they are cool, especially if you do a TII conversion.

verts are fast, i ran a 14.9 on the quarter mile in mine. and now it is a TII vert with 310hp at the rear wheels.
