Question Burning SMell.....

neways i was bringing my car into the garage and i thought hey what the hell lets try to move in 3rd gear from dead stop i revved it started to move but then stalled so i started her up and then tryed in 2nd i made it in without a prob but then i get out of the car and the nastiest smell of lyfe i almost died it smelled like burning wires or something rubber like i dont know it smelled really bad a friend of mine whos into Rx7's said it might be coolant or something to that effect i said yea but it only does that when i do the thing with the gears so any help would be greatly appreciated...

Dude it's gotta be clutch. You tryed do 3rd from a dead stop wich means you had to get your recs up and burn clutch to even get it to move and it still stalled. Yeah you defintly burn a lil clutch. the smell will pass but take it easy on the ol 7

1st is such a wide gear.....what's the point of starting in any other gear? Its not like you were racing a guy.....which would still be stupid b/c it would take forever before you would be getting any real response out of the car.

Shift through the gears in order (only skipping while upshifting, like 3rd to 5th )

That is the wonderful smell of a future clutch job if you keep it up . Seriously though, what would make you wanna try that? You do those kind of things in other peoples cars !

lol nah man it was the first day i did that and i got the smell i knew i had to be burning something trust me i take care of my FC like if it was my baby i make shure everything is ok i just did it one time and i got that smell lol neways ok now i know not to do that
