well the results after I made the wastegate close all the way and changed all the gaskets.................drum roll...........still no boost!!!!! Bastard! So its got to be somehow a bad turbo huh? But with no shaft play and it spinning freely what would be wrong? Thanks.

Told ya.

Sorry to hear you still have no boost though. Are you absolutely sure the twin-scroll flap isn't being held closed. Test it as per the FSM's instructions. Are you absolutely sure your gauge is okay. Swap another in to check; any cheap pressure gauge will do.

If you have no luck, I think you need to take it to a mechanic. It's really hard to solve unusual problems like this from thousands of miles away...

yeah you where right, I was just hoping you wheren't Anyways do you know what the rod looks like when it is open? I mean if I get under the car how far should the rod be showing? Should it be extended or not? Any mechanic around here will know nothing of my problem they don't know rotary engines at all. If its not a v8 then your dumb for getting the car Anyways I know I'm not getting any boost because three things.

1. no spooling sound (tid upgraded with hks intake I should hear it)
2. butt dyno tells me
3. my greddy bov doesn't discharge any air however with the old turbo it would.

Any ideas? Thanks againg nz!

It should be extended when the engine's off, and retract when you start the engine (as per the FSM). Try disconnecting the actuator from the arm and wiring it open, and see if that makes any difference. If it doesn't, the twin-scroll system is not the problem.

If all else fails, take the car to a mechanic that deals with modern cars, not just old V8's. You guys do have modern cars right?

well modern cars yes but the problem is the mechanic that "knows" about rx7's here is the one that put this turbo on in the first place and after that my car never boosted. So I don't know if he messed anything up or if this turbo was never ment to spool Anyways thanks for the advise on the twin scroll actuator I'm going to try that.
