Burnin 'em bouncing...

86 N/A Rex
From a dead stop going straight, when I nail it in 1st the back wheels hop and bounce, anyone know what is causing this?
If I get on it around a turn its nice and smooth.

would the sway bar have anything to do with this? and exactly what does the sway bar do - what are symptoms of it going out?

Anti-sway bars have NOTHING to do with what the car is doing in a straight line.&nbsp rico05 is right - it's your shocks (most likely).&nbsp Anti-sway bars don't die; if they fail, you're talking about a bar that snaps in half.&nbsp I've never seen one do that.&nbsp more likely the anti-sway bar mount is broken.&nbsp Even if it's broken, it has nothing to do with your wheel hop - you're looking in the wrong area.

Well...I was going to post something...But RETed beat me to it

If you get wheel hop, your suspension is too stiff in the rear ( all things being relative )

I get pretty bad wheel hop when I gun it in 1st gear, but I have a 91 vert, so there is no weight in the back :-)

Get some 12" MTX subs. That'll put some weight in the back, also a giant wing helps
