Your going to be putting alot of stress on the engine, tranny, drive shift, differntials when doing a burning out.

If you really don't want to **** anything up don't do it..

But for a bit of less stress try burnning out in water or something.

Theres no real "correct" way to do a burnout. Rev it up to around redline and dump the clutch. Should leave something on the pavement.

Normally I let out the clutch very slightly at 1st, to preload the drivetrain, then release all the way. This eliminates the instant shock that is done when the clutch is just dumped.

get it sliding sideways then just put the hammer down, do a few cookies then keep on the brakes just a tad so you stay put. should do well, try setting the cruise control, haha, i don't know how possible that would be.

You can always do it on a little bit of sand and gravel that cuts off onto pavement. I balded a brand new set of tires on my LeBaron in about 2 months doing that.

Ouch!Droping the clutch lol that's bad and reving it to around redline.....BOOM!Should leave you with lots of tire hop and a beep sound lol. This is the proper way to do a burnout.Get a line lock system. How it usually works is you stand on the brakes as hard as you can, hit the switch on the line lock to close up the front solienoid and then let go of the brakes.Your front brakes are "locked" and you can proceed to do a burn out.The locked front brakes helps keep the car in place during the burn out.

Well I'm guessing hes looking for how to do the best burnout, dumping the clutch around redline will do it. Dumping it around redline will spin the tires alot, hardly any wheel hop.

BTW- I've done this same procedure many of times at the drag strip, but my tires are usually alittle bit wet. No broken tranny here.

Well I'm not sure. On a stock or mildly modded RX-7, you could probably get some wheel hop. Mine is pretty modded, so maybe I can just spin them more so that it doesn't cause as much wheel hop. Plus I only do burnouts at the track to dry off my tires.

WoW. the first thing i did when i got my first car was a burnout. You need help. And heel-toe is something useful for real drivers. Learn to burn then come back.

put your heel on the brake. use your toes on the gas. pre-load the tranny, then let her rip.....wait a sec....(without over-revving), then let off brake, shift and turn the wheel....(while keeping throttle at about 6k!)...bonzai!!

I think its fun as **** to do that....It what i really dislike about my civic hatch- I have to do it in reverse. haha (j/k)

ive never done it cause i dont have my own car yet and i dont want to do it in my friends cars when they let me drive, but i was thinking it would work best if you had your left foot on the clutch and your right foot like heeltoe on the brake and gas if you can stretch that much and floor it on the gas and have the brake down part way then dump the clutch when your at whatever speed you want. that way it doesnt jump forward when switching from clutch to brake.
