Bucks after cold starts

So I've been having a problem with my 89 TII; first off, It takes a few seconds of cranking to get it to start on a cold start, and if I don't let it warm up, it bucks when i give it some gas, like someone is constantly pushing on and letting off the peddle.... any help?

have you tested the ACV and the TPS....my prob was the TPS, try adjusting it then test the resistance of the sensor to see if its bad.

I adjusted the TPS about threee weeks ago using the two light test, and it was fine.... I need to get a multi-meter so i can test the resistance.... Things to do this weekend i guess.

i adjusted mine by that method as well, but the sensor was just totally bad. i bought a multimeter from radio shack for 19 bucks and it showed that it was shorted.

Look about halfway down the page. Mazdatrix wants $300.
