Is it bubbles, or does it look like a melted marshmallow?

Is there enough oil in the car?

When was it last changed?

bubbles

Thanks,,

normal dark (no metal frags.)oil color, b4 change now 20-50 w/bubbles (not driven) .

have not seen car;;;;

dealer mechanic "not that seen b4, maybe either small component on engine" oil bypass, regulator "letting air in"

mechanic at college shop " may be compression leak thru seal"

P.S. Nice picture

Where is he seeing the bubbles? On the dipstick?

Is it a Turbo, or NA?

Have you put any additives in the oil?

Any oil leaks?

Does the car smoke?

Sorry for all the questions, but it could be a bunch of things, so the more info the better.

bubbles

not a problem,,

-oil bubbles on dipstick. Oil still looks new
-no leaks.
-not smoking (started and ran in garage)
-engine sounded fine (used rod against engine block,, new alternator, the most noise )
----- had previous overheat due to heater hose leak (temp. needle pegged) ,, alarm for 15 sec's,, pulled over & fixed -- ate 1-2 quarts of oil,, topped with 5-20 for 50 miles then changed.. had 15 lbs Oil Pres. , THOUGHT low weight oil caused reading,,

maybe water added too cold??
