I have just bought a second gen rx7 and my reverse lights dont work there is nothing wrong with the bulbs and there is not a fuse that i can see. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? or if any on knows if this can be fixed. if anyone has any advise or knows how to fix this it would be much appreciated,

I had the same problem and it was the reverse switch on the transmission. Difficult to replace.

As posted many times, it is not un-common to have the switch get dirty and fail to conduct enough amperage to light the reverse lights, or to have the switch unplugged by someone doing tranny or clutch work on the FC, FD and Miatas.

You may wish to use the search function on this found in the upper right hand corner of this page.

The solution can be as simple as plugging in the switch, or using a relay to boost the switch capabilities, or outright replaceing the switch.

ha ha - mazcare did my trans, so I can now blame them for not connecting the reverse lights
