Broken Rear Diff Mount
Broken Rear Diff Mount
So...****.
After I put LSD into my car, I drove it around for a bit, then did my first two-wheel peel. I guess, attempted.
One of the rear Differential mount bushings ripped apart, which in turn broke the axle on that side.
Looks like I might be ordering these: http://mazdatrix.com/g8.htm
part: 28-8900-FBY1
The competition style. Anyone have any insight on these? How much harsher is the ride? Any performance gains with it? Will it just make the stock front diff mount break easier?
Also, I did a search and found some information about solid delrin bushings. I'm googling it now, but if any of you guys have any insight about those and/or where to get them, I'd appreciate it.
Any insight would be great.
Thanks,
James

I put all the comp mtgs in my Vert. The comp ones are 40% stiffer than stock. Once you change them out you can tell the difference. I already lowered the ride so I can't say the ride quality is affected by them. And knowing they can handle a little more abuse is great.

I just replaced the differential cover (aluminum) with an old set of rear mounts in it, and tore apart both of them today, on the first launch attempt.
I'm gonna need to order these.
Thanks for ther responses, guys. I appreciate it.
