Broken alternator wiring

I recently went through my entire wiring harness while performing an S4 Turbo swap. I replaced alot of connectors and retaped most of the harness. I went to install my alternator and realized I left the leads a little short. I tried to pull on the connector slightly (Dumb!!!) and it broke off in my hand. I would like to replace this the correct way and just replace the entire wiring for the alternator. Where do the wires go? I am not so concerned with the idiot light trigger wire, but would like to replace the other wire.

As the wiring diagrams in the Factory Service Manual and Haynes Manual show you, the thick black wire goes to the 80A main fuse.

These manuals are very important if you plan on making any wiring changes to avoid mistakes that can burn down the car.

I am not refering to the thick black wire. I am refering to the R and L terminals on the back of the 2 pronged plug. As far as i understand from the FSM one goes to the idiot light cluster and the other goes to the ignition switch. What I am asking, I guess, is:

Is the wire that goes to the ignition switch part of the EM harness?

I also have conflicting reports that the Black wire with white strip (one of the wires in question) goes to one of the fuses (not the main fuse).

I am not sure if I have muddied or cleared the waters in this matter, but please, any response is appreciated.

Thanks!

S4 TII motor with S4 NA harness.
