Bringing the "thing" back to live

Hi folks,

Here im trying to gather informations for the rebuild of my FC.
I Own a 87 FC with 160kmiles on the odometer, a broken clutch/tranny, an Engine that seems to suffer under a water leak, a broken Turbo manifold an a but ugly carpet from home depot....
Basicaly its a beater but one of six in my Country so i think its worthy rebuilding it.

Its been repaintet in Alfa romeo nuovola blue metallic by the last owner but one fender bleeds again some rust.

Here is a pic from this summer with my beamer (i cant resist pistons if they are large enough) at the Nürburgring parking lot "Green Hell"

Not on the pictures is a set of OZ Mito rims in 8,5 and 10x17 but it looks pretty mean with theese wheels.

Ive already changed the door panels. The light blue is not my taste so ive wrapped them with black Alcantara (Hope you call it that way too) and made a Doorboard for a 6,5 2 way component system.

This weekend i will start tearing it apart and make a to do list.
Goal is a350-400 whp rotay.
I hope for some good advice how to fix the car properly.
Any suggestions are welcome and please excuse my weired english.

like many nice looking Woman the car is pretty on the outside but rotten within.

No its worth the work. But there is a lot do. Im more show and shine than racer.

today i organised a donor car until i can afford the expensive goodies i need or want.
An SA with a complete S5 swap.
Now i can figure out what is exactly broken on my tranny an i can look how everything should be put together in the end

By the way is here in the community a technical manual for the FC available?
Something like Wankel for dummies?

So Winter is comming. if finished insulating my Garage adn put the 17" OZ wheel back on the car.

the seats and carpet are removed and im working on removing the Noise dampening tar on the floor.
Thats a work for someone who has killed his own parents......

As far as i know my fc is a import from texas. The former owner has replaced he drivers side floor metal. No ides why. Is that a part of the fc thas is known to rust?
Are there any more places i should inspect for corrosion prevention?

What model Beamer is that?
Be sweet to drop a 20B in that sucker.

Yes! Re-build that car. All the info you need is on this website.

Aaron has a nice write up on body defects and whatnot:

A 20b would be badass in that 850csi.

btw I jerked off to that bmw, havent seen one of them in along time :|

Ditch the rx7 and put a 20b in the bmw = win

Get in touch with hIGGI.
I think he still does some work on the cars.
He's located in CZ.
