Bridgeport question.
Bridgeport question.
So, after these long issues with my car not making power (long story short - Extend port, dowelled block, t04z 18psi = 300rwhp @8500rpm)
I'm planning on dropping the engine out this weekend to take a peak inside. Speaking to my tuner on the phone the other day, he seems to think that possibly the seal springs are buggered and its loosing compression under boost. It compression tests fine just over 90psi in both rotors either way we are both pretty convinced something is wrong with the engine, as absolutely everything else has been tested.
But I think since the engine is coming out, I have my heart set on a bridgeport now, I really want that idle note. My cars not really a daily driver more of a toy car. Is it possible to convert an engine that's already been extend ported to a bridgeport? Are there any issues that I may run into in doing so? I should have all the supporting mods as I was setting the car up to make around 450hp.

It depends on how the street/extend ports are cut. If they have been moved out towards the rotor housing, there may not be enough material left to make a bridge.
