Brand new engine has problems starting?
I just got a new engine from atkins, it was dyno broken in so im not worried about that, its a 87 T2
well anyways heres the run down
-New rotor housings
-fd corner seal springs
-all new seals
-3mm ceramic apex seals
i followed rotary resurrestions emissions delete and what not, and did everything by the book. so i know nothing should be wrong there.
it has troubles trying to fire up, like it doesnt want too? makes no sence, and the only way it will kinda start it by bump starting. i could probably use new spark plugs, but anything else i should look at or consider?

The problem is the engine needs to build compression. Dont stop trying it will soon turn once it gets its pressure. Also you can try clamping the fuel line before the fuel rails and starve the engine a little. Make sure before you do this that you re-stab the CAS and bolted tight enough so it wont go loose. Also have some fresh Spark plugs or some good used dry ones before you try this procedure. The main key is starve the engine so that it doesnt flood. But once it turns on let the clamp loose so that it gets its normal fuel.
