Brakes are set too low...Need help

I recently had the brakes checked by my mechanic and when I got the car back, the brakes seemed to be set lower than it was before. I brought it back to him and we both thought to let out all the air from the brake lines in hopes that that will resolve the problem. It was a little better, but still not as responsive as before. Any ideas? Thanks.

hey yeah. I have a problem like this too. its been like it ever since my 5 lug conversion. oh, and I DO have all the air out. its like the brakes work, and the pedal doesn't go to the floor, but its much lower than the gas, and takes a bit of effort to make it stop quickly.

does this sound like your problem? I don't want to hijack your thread or anything.

Hey, that sounds exactly like my problem. The brake pedal (when pressed fully) goes below the gas pedal.

Are you 100% sure that all the air is out of the lines? Did you bleed them in the right sequence? back right, left, front right, left?

Yea, you want to go furthest away from the master cylinder(back right) to the closest (front left). This way you assure to get all of the air from the system.

Just a FYI-If the brake system had previous problems with stuck pistons and a high pedal, after repairing, the pedal will be lower. This is because the pistons will recede back into the bores, requiring more pedal travel. This lower pedal condition, naturally, should not be exceptionally low, but there will be a difference after repair.

hmm... well I bled them correctly, and I'm 100% sure ALL the air is out of the system.
is there any way to adjust the actual brake pedal ?
