Brake pads and oil weight questions
First off:
I just got my first FC, and 87 T2. It needs new front pads and I am wondering if I should just buy expensive OEM ones or buy cheaper better pads online. I heard Hawk pads were awesome but I can not find an online reseller with them. Also, do Hawk pads fit on stock FC rotors? I was also looking at KVR carbon fiber pads on Corksport and Metal Matrix pads. What pads do you reccomend?
Next question, what oil weight should I use on my T2 in the summer in Florida? I thought 20w50 but I hear 10w30 from local FC guys. What's the difference, what should I use?
Thanks for the help guys.

Hawk makes a complete line of pads for the FC. For strictly street use I'd use the HPS. If it doesn't see that many miles and will see duty at autocross, go for the HP+. The only disadvantage to the HP+ is the dust.
I live in Florida and use 20W-50 year round.
Oh, and the Tire Rack carries Hawk pads.

20w-50 made a big difference for me in my N/A in the summer. With a hotter turbo engine, theres no way in my book 10w-30 is going to be any good in the summer. go with 20w-50. Just look at the owners manual. 10w-30 only covers to 80°s or so. I know you drive you car hard too (all 7 owners do) so 20w-50 is going to be best.
