brake master cylinder leak - quick question

Is there a way that someone can tell if the leak is "internal".

I don't feel like dropping $330 US on a new cylinder.

The leaks are between the master cylinder and the brake booster, as well as the fluid resevoir/master cylinder.

If it is leaking internally I need to replace it for sure, but how does one tell for sure if it is leaking?

Prax, I responded to your PM, I'll go ahead and post here, for anyone else's benefit.

NOPI sells Tokico master clylinders for both brake and clutch and clutch slave cylinders. All are extremely well priced.

The TII brake master cylinder is $184.21.

A leak between the resevoir and the cylinder can probably be fixed by replacing the rubber bushings, about $8 from my Mazda dealer.
