Brake issues

Stock front brake calipers rx7 87 t2...

Changing my front brake pads has become a stressful job to say the least, the other day i attempted to change the passenger side brake pads and one of the 2 pins wont budge causing it to mushroom after accessible use of a hammer... then today i tryed the other side to see if it would do the same, and it did. am i doing something wrong? do you not take the pins out.

Yes, the pins that the pads ride on have to come out.
I've never seen pins so corroded that they wouldn't move after a few taps with a drift/hammer, but I suppose it's possible.

At this point- especially with the pin that's been mushroomed- your best bet would probably be to cut the pins in the middle and drive them out that way.
TBH however, if the pad retaining pins are in that bad a shape, I'd have to wonder what the pistons look like...it may be easier to just get a better set of calipers to work with.
