Exclamation Brake fluid under the car?

So I pulled out of my parking spot today and noticed a new fluid spot from under my car. I checked it when I got back and seemed to be brake fluid, it looks like it came from somewhere under the engine. I plan on getting under the car tomorrow and taking a look, what should I look for?

brake lines, master cylinders, slave cylinder, calipers

come on dumbass, anything that has brake fluid in it

you rigged ur cat, so u can find this problem

um, wet ****. If it smells like brake fluid, you need to check around the brake, and clutch master cylinders. Then check the clutch slave cylinder, then check around all 4 wheels. Look at each tire and see if it looks like they have gotten wet.

It's getting cold. My master cylinder spent last winter leaking in the cold. It was fine all summer, and I didn't drive it during the winter (mostly due to an inability to get it out of my parking lot).

Run your finger along the brake booster under the master cylinder. If it comes back wet, you've found the problem.

If you have ABS then check around that i noticed mine leaked a little

Well I put a cardboard box under my car and left it over night. As of 5 mins ago, there wasnt a single spot on it. Maybe it was the car before me that was in the spot? I dunno, Ill keep a look out on it.

are your brakes getting more and more squishy? Is the lvl down in your brake master cylinder? If not I wouldn't really worry about it. But just know that brake fluid eats paint... I have first hand experience with that...

My fluid level was down, about 1 cm lower than the max line, I filled up the reservior about 2 months ago. I know I need to bleed my brakes.

Jack the car up and eyeball the passenger side frame rail behind where the engine mount is located...

I had this same problem... Loosing a bit of brake fluid every now and then.... turned out the G-Dam ABS unit took a **** and was slowly leaking...

If it is... all the paint will be all nice and wrinkly and will slogh right off the frame rail when you rub it!!
