BOV question

I have the HKS SSQV but for some reason It can be barely heard and when I am flooring it it kinda flutters. My buddy thinks it was no installed properly and that might be why I am creeping. I was wondering if anyone has instuctions so I can uninstall it and re-install it properly. Will post pics soon. I you see it you will understand.

BOV's are pretty simple and self explanatory, man. If you think it's leaking or something just unclamp the hose, remove the BOV, clean or replace the hose and glean the BOV, reinstall. To my knowledge you can't install one impropperly...unless your vacuum is run wrong.

well, all of the BOV's i've seen are on the driver's side of the engine bay, but this one is on the other side whith hosing running around the back of the engine( closer to the firewall).

that sounds really...odd...pics, definitely...

A BOV should be plumbed in between your intercooler and your throttle body, with a vac line running off it to somewhere...can't remember where exactly the vac line is supposed to be plugged in at...

BOV needs to be before the throttle body, the vac source for it needs to be after the throttle body.

your not spossed to hear the bov when your WOT ON the gas, your spossed to hear it when you rapidly let off the gas and close the throttle. if you think your hearing it while your WOT, you need a heavier spring.

also, boost creep isnt caused by a blow off valve, its caused by a faulty or too small wastegate on the turbo itself.

I think if you port the stock wastegate it gets rid of boost creep right?
