bov placement..
i just installed a Greddy Type S. i had a blitz SS but got rid of it was leaking. so anyways, the thing im wondering is does everyone elses bov sound really quiet? the place where mine is is where the stock bypass valve was and you cant hear anything. a friend of mine has a VR6 with a stage 2, and another friend who told me the same thing has an mr2 turbo. they told me the placement of the bov is the problem. since the air has to pass through the intercooler that it lessens the amount of backpressure going through the bov. so is this really the problem? or anything else it could be? *there bov's are placed right after the throttle body*
so do i need to get a FMIC to be able to get it mounted at the throttle body? or is their room that if i got some piping welded that i could get it mounted back there, or am i just totally wrong about this whole problem. thanks!

First stop listening to your friends.
There is alot of people here runing the S and it is very squeeky and loud. How do you have it hooked up? Hooked up right? There is 2 lines coming off of the S and one is open and the other goes to a VAC source on the UIM. Are you leaking? Spring tension to tite?
I know your venting but a properly setup BOV on your car would be to recirculate the BOV. This will prevent inproper AFR mixtures that you get now.

i said after from where i was looking at the piping from the TB. but anyways, i found my problem. the tubing that the bov hooks up that plugs straight into the manifold was T'd off to make a vac line for my greddy boost gauge. well i unhooked that and ran a line from the bov straight to the manifold and it sounds AWESOME. and runs good. so, im not sure why that is causing a problem, my guess is a nitch in the vac line running to my greddy boost gauge, but im going to inspect it and try and see if i can't find another vac line to hook it up to. any suggestions as to where? the one that runs from the manifold to the pressure sensor i noticed, but would that work? thanks !
