BOV not BLOWING OFF

BOV not BLOWING OFF

Just got my car back from the shop, new rebuild installed and not my bov isn't blowin off! Its pissin me off! What could make it not work? The vac line off the bov is going into the upper intake manifold and everything seems fine, any help would be appreciated!

Don't even try to boost the motor until you break it in.

^ agreed.

Take off your BOV and run some carb cleaner through it and manual open the piston a few times to work out any gunk in there. Have you tried adjusting the spring tension on the BOV?

How is it possible to not boost with any kind of wastegate. Boost builds till the spring PSI thresh-hold is reached, you can't change that. Unless you pull open the wastegate with a friggen cable or something, the integrated ones that is.

after sitting for 3 months my greddy BOV wouldnt blow off im not sure how it happened but it was jamed i couldnt budge it i ended up buying a new one

^I had the same problem. Just had to work it with some carb cleaner and it was all good.

I wont go past 3000rpm on the engine, but I am boosting abit. The bov seams to work fine, took it out and it seams to operate fine. Thanks for the replys also, i'll mess around with it tommorow I guess
