hahahahahaha.....if you're looking for a BOV BASED on sound then you have your priorities askewed.........pay attention.........THE HKS SSQV is supposed to be the best because it reduces the risk of it leaking like most PUSH-type blow Off Valves........I recommend THAT.........If you want sound then you are on your own.....i won't help you.

I searched for "blow off valve"

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ght=blow+valve
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ght=blow+valve
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ght=blow+valve

From the 2nd page of that search:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ght=blow+valve
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ght=blow+valve
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ght=blow+valve
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ght=blow+valve

Many of those topics are not directly answering your question but they will give you many opinions of different BOVs.

Here's a search for BOV:

whatever man, please keep your dumb posts to yourself, it will be gladly apreciated. if im looking a bov for sound then wth is the problem, is my car for crying out loud. people say that bov are for a reason and you can't look for only sound, i know that, but im not going to put a bov that the sound is ugly as hell even if it performs better than other.

what sounds ugly is relative............so we can't really help you......we can only recommend what's GOOD.......granted there will be a lot, A LOT of people who bought their BOV for sound and i'm sure they'll post here...........and If you DID ANY RESEARCH you would go with the HKS SSQV and sound should not be an issue..........I assume you did NO research and have no clue what I mean though.

To answer one of your questions..

The Type-RS basically sounds like vented air. Pwahhhh, basically. It's...not ear-catching, loud, etc. It's classy, and I don't like it!

As stated...

The ones I would consider "cool!" AND good quality, you can't really go wrong with any of these *except maybe the SSQV*:

GReddy Type-R pwns. It's generally for 15+psi, so, this might be out of your range. But it sounds KILLER.

HKS SSQV is pretty nice. It can either be a shrill "Squee!" or a docile(ish) "Pssh" but with a high pitch to it. DEFINITELY an attention getter, this will get looks all over the place. Also (IMO) the loudest when not under heavy boost...like it will go off in a parking lot, or in free-rev, and be very noticeable.

TurboXS: No personal experience, but I've heard good things. This wouldn't be my first choice, obviously..

Don't get a Blitz BOV. Probably the most reported leaks for any BOV.

Well, I guess my posts get deleted, but the flame starter himself gets away with it. Whatever..

My .02,

The Type RS is NOT a good valve. Especially when you are running over 15 PSI of boost. My Type S was a much better valve for the money.
