The BOV is the easy part. You have a lot of latitude.
The bigger the turbo, the bigger the BOV.

The waste gate & boost control are more critical.

ummmmmmmmm......best BOV is HKS......hands down. but you don't need it on your stock car.....don't be dumb guy.......how will your car break down because it's stock????

first replace all the hoses and vaccuum lines........then make sure no wires are stripped THEN worry about upgrades.

Leave the stock BOV. Putting on an aftermarket unit with the stock turbo will gain you nothing except the "pssssst" sound.

As for upgrades, please read the FAQ and take a cruise for the archive. Then do a search for "basic upgrades", "first mods" or variations on that.

Lay the groundwork first. Upgraded fuel pump, S-AFC or other fuel controller, proper gauges (at the minimum, boost and A/F), PORTED WASTEGATE and larger secondary injectors.

Read the FAQs, read the archives, search, and then you'll probably be good to go.

no need to buy a wastegate, just port the one you have.

you have an internal wastegate.........so you cannot BUY one.....look......IF the car is in as good a shape as you claim then I would buy a boost controler and PORT the wastegate (requires removal of the turbo) followed by fuel pump and SAFC then some 720cc secondaries....and a dynotune to get it running right AFTER the mods.

um....let's see.......

SAFC=200-300+ labor
Boost controller= 50- 400+labor
fuel pump= 100+labor
removal of turbo, porting and installation= at least 6hrs. of labor (you know some mechanics will take their sweet *** time) here a rotary mechanic charges 85 bux an hour and Auto Rand D charges 90/hr I believe.....
720cc injectors= 120-160+ labor
dynotune=500-800 bux for full tune

LEARNING TO DO IT YOURSELF= priceless

you are looking at 12 psi (max you should push on stock turbo) and the HP can range from 240-260 depending on how much you lean it out......some people have gotten 280 out of their stock turbos BUT THAT was leaning it out to retarded levels (13:1 and such)

well the SAFC and AVCR (what I have) is not too difficult to install if you can follow directions.....I soldered them into my ECU harness in my old TII ( i still need to install them in my new 7)..........

the fuel pump is a piece of cake just make sure you have enough power going to it......

the porting of the Wastegate (WG) is a bitch because you have to remove the turbo and oil lines and blah blah blah....but you need to do it to avoind a boost spike and blowing your motor .......( I spiked to 13 psi and I almost shat my pants......my friend boosted to 16 psi and blew his motor)

720cc injectors...........well.....it's ok but it takes time.

Dynotune........you HAVE to do it to take advantage of the mods listed...........I'm going to buy a wideband 02 sensor with logging so I can do my own tuning but it will cost close to 400 bux.....
