bout to jab my eye out with a spork

Well I've been searching for like an hour and I'm trying to figure out the sizes and lengths of all the vacuum lines cause I'm replacing my uim lim etc. gaskets and replacing all vacuum lines at the same time... I just need to know the sizes and about how many feet I should buy... I have no idea why I couldn't find any info even though I know I saw a thread that told what I need... some how my searches come up with no sizes... just how to's. so any quick help would be nice.

I have no idea how long. When i did this I just bought about 3 feet of hose and went from there. I had a little left, so I think 3 feet is good. Just take one of the pieces in with you to get the right size.

holy hell.... there is no way theres over 40 ft of hose under the hood.... I remember one person saying they only needed like 5 ft total... but I'm not 100% sure... also I don't want to have to walk to the store half way through this cause I didn't buy 40ft of the stuff... but I don't wanna buy 40ft if I only need 5 ft. I'm gonna wait for a few more responses to verify one way or the other thanks both of you though!

5 feet would probably do the trick for an NA engine, 7-8ft might be required for a turbo engine. Get 5/32" from an auto parts store, it will fit perectly.

Id say about <30ft is about right. I bought this kit
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku and still needed alot more and went to mazdatrix for about 15ft of their 3.5mm.
I didnt even replace all of the hoses, if I did, I know I would need more. You have to realize you will need to loop and coil some of the hose around to keep them from kinking, so you will need a longer length to replace eahc factory molded piece

just one size (5/32) for all the lines? and I have a 87 t2

hmm.... this is really turning into a headache
I think I'll just suck it up and get like 30ft of 4mm and 10 ft of 6mm... then I may or may not have some extra sitting around for some other lame use
