bouncing Idle & more.....

Hey guys im looking for some advice here. Im going to visit a friend with a 89 n.a with bouncy idle problem, and where going to try and see if we can fix it without taking it to the shop. What im thinking is theres a good chance theres a vaccum leak. So i printed off some vaccum line diagrams, and will use some brake cleaner to try and find a vaccum leak. Also I plan on doing some grounding. The one thing that makes me nervous is he says he thinks he smells gas in the oil. Any advice would be awesome, thanks Jay

vacuum leak, TPS, Bypass Air Control Valve... I assume the car is still stock as far as emissions/idle equipment? Could be bad intake manifold gaskets as well....
