Bought another RX7, but I have some problems....need help.

Well I bought another rx7 yesterday, I picked up a 88 GTU interior and body is in perfect shape but needs paint for $500. The car hasn't ran in three years so I decied to mess with it today and see if I could get it running. Well I poured a little ATF in the throttle body just to make sure lubed up inside the rotor housing, turned the key but it just spun over and didn't start. So I grabbed my handy can of carb clearner sprayed a few good shots into the throttle body turn the key and it cranked right up. Well come to find out the fuel pump isn't coming on so now I need the wiring diagram for the fuel pump so I can try and fix it.

Also I drain the old gas out of the tank and when I went to fill it up it acts like the filler neck is stopped up, the pump keeps on shutting off unless you just let the gas dribble into the tank. Took me 10 mins to get 5 gals in the tank.

Well I just got the car running but now it doesn't want to idle. I found that the fuel pump wasn't working but it was getting power. But I was able to fix the fuel pump, I just took it out of the tank, put power to it and started hitting it with a ratchet until it started working.

When I had the fuel pump out I noticed that there was a good bit of rust inside of the gas tank, is this normal?????

Now the car will crank up and run but will not idle. What are some of the common problems these cars have that would cause that kinda of problem?

Ok well everything is fine now.

My idle issue was a goof on my part, forgot to hook up the 1" air tube coming from the Idle speed control motor to the intake tube. Oooops

Cleaned a little bit of rust out of the filler neck and it works perfect now.

Well I gave it a quick tune-up and now have perfectly good running 88 GTU for $575.

Now here is the dilemma, what do I do with it now?

1. Keep it stock and drive it

2. Sell it and make a quick buck

3. LS-1 Swap

4. LT-1 Swap (I have a friend that wants to sell me a complete LT-1/T-56 swap that makes 360 RWHP for $2000)

Well I already have a LS-1 Powerd FD, and after seeing the dark side I can't see myself modding a rotary engine.
