Borla exhaust; is this right?

So I have a 91 vert; turbo motor. Corksport down pipe and test pipe, stock Y pipe and I just got some borla bolt on mufflers. The ones from their bolt on exhaust. They're sitting a bit higher and inside the bumper more than Id be happy with. Is this normal? Pics -

Oh yeah, the mufflers have new exhaust rubbers as well. The hangers.

Would using old or longer hangers make it droop lower and not burn the bumper? That's my concern.

If they are hooked up already you are gonna burn the crap out of your bumper.
Easy solution is to either get some Tips that extend the end of each muffler or extend the pipe at the back of each muffler to make the tip come outside of the rear of the car so you don't melt the *** of the car!

I owned the Borla exhaust and the tips should align with the mufflers.

I'm guessing their y-pipe is longer to accommodate the mufflers. Bring it to a shop and explain the Y-pipe situation and they'll fix it if it bothers you.

I hope that helps, happy wrenching.

I have Borla cat back that includes their Y-pipe.

My exhaust tips look like this;

Your car looks great.

Looks like I need to get longer hangers for the short time and make a trip to the exhaust later on.

How does that Borla exhaust sound? Tinny, boomy, loud, quiet?

Curious.

thx

So far it has just idled and it sounds about normal. But I still have stock cat and Y pipe in.

I unhooked a few hangers and was able to get it to sit low enough under the bumper to feel comfortable with.
