Borla catback vrs RB

I've read reviews for each and scowered around, the only thing I can figure out is that the borla one may be a bit more restrictive, but both still show gains over stock, both companies have great reputations behind them so the quality will be equally great. The borla one new though is 500 bucks whereas the RB is about 570.

but which one is more quiet, the RB or the borla, and which one shows the most gains?

is the RB really worth the extra 70 dollars?

Yes it is worth it. best sound, and it was R&D around a rotary engine. It sounds great, fairly quiet for a aftermarket setup. There HAS TO BE a sound clip in the audio video section if you look in there.

I drove a full RB exhaust on an NA S4 and I liked it alot. that and RB is the first thing you would think of for rotary anyways.

I have the Borla on my TII, and one on a 90 GTU. Love em...Great sound, not fart can sound.

If you check summitt racing they have the borla for 480.00 plus free shipping.

thats a good deal right there. If you want to **** off everyone you rev on for CHEAP.......buy a cork sport. the single 2.5 to 3 inch is under350 I think.

naw, I want the dual exhaust, even though it is more weight

and if I went to a single exhaust, i'd just use my RS*R ex mag muffler off my 240sx and just get new piping and etc.

That isn't the question of Corksport vs Racing Beat, but Borla and Racing Beat. Stay on topic.

Also its 2.5" to 3.125" and its $289 + shipping (for me around 40 bucks). BUT it's almost too loud for an NA unless you have the stock manifold + cats).

Borla is a little bit lighter of an exhaust then RB. Racing Beat has a larger diameter after the y pipe at 2.325 instead of a 2" in the Borla. Both sound good, about a 100 price difference + shipping. Both fit well, both are repuatable.

You really can't go wrong, I'm going with the Borla just to be different .

There is no dyno camparison but there is for the Borla vs Apexi duals, which dyno at exactly the same (same car within a week).

ooh lighter? thats one more notch for borla heh.

I planned on going with the RB header and presilencer cat remover.

when I get tested for emissions I can always just throw the cat back on down the road.

and the borla vs apexi duals dyno is quite nifty actually.

but the large diamater after the y pipe could be either (or both) minimal gains and more resonannce noise.

that looks like its clamped on the one section!

anyone know that if it is truley bolt on or no? cause that factor itself would make me buy the RB exhaust lol.

that and there is shipping from summit, I just checked

but to mydoor its 502, which aint bad.

borla is a perfect fit bolt on. easy to install by yourself with jackstands. the passenger side pipe is held on by a clamp. as long as you get it tight the first time, you'll never have a problem.
mine had a free hat in the box too. at first i thought it was cheezy, but now i wear it all the time
