thats awesome. ive been thinking of doing this to mine since my FTP lenses are bunk anyway. add them onto the existing circuit so they come on with the side markers.

 

You should make them look like the newer audi's. That would look awesome.

 

^^ that was the look I was going for. Didn't quite come out the way I wanted though.

 

What if you filled the entire FTP lens? Would it give you even more light? Maybe you wouldn't need a MOSFET?

 

If I had thought about it more before I wired them up, I should have done banks of 4 LEDs in series to bring the total voltage up closer to 12. I would probably still use a MOSFET to control the current since the factory system isn't exactly a nice consistent voltage, but at least I wouldn't need a 35W heatsink for the damn thing. And it would only be .5A instead of 2A total. Meh, live and learn.
