Question boosting too high?

I slapped a JDM motor in my car recently and I finally got it running. I installed the Biltz bov on it and I don't really know how to adjust it. It came with instructions but they don't say ****. I'm noticing that my stock boost gauge is spiking all the way when i hit 3200 RPMs. What should my boost level really be and how do I adjust the friggin BOV?

Help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

99 percent of the time, aftermarket blow off valves will not need to be adjusted at all. If you are hearing compressor surge, then the nut needs to be loosened.

The stock boost guage is in MM of HG. With a properly working turbo, the stock boost guage should just about be pegged even on stock boost.

if you are getting to high of boost then you may want to do the wastegate port mod that alot of people do. It is not that difficult and keeps those boost spikes down.

Thanks for the info guys!

I really really appreciate it....This is my first turbo rotary so i'm still learning the dynamics of the engine. I've driven an N/A up until I built the TII.

Thanks again!

I plan on getting a real boost gauge....once I have a little more money. As of now...my car is parked and not going anywhere...just in case.
