boost sensor or guage

i know the stock boost guage isnt any real help, but its just the gauge, right, the ECU gets an accurate reading from the boost sensor, right? (as in, the stock sensor is accurate, right?)

Yes, the stock boost sensor is accurate. But it has been a few years since it was new.
