boost leak ?

whats the best way to find a boost/vac leak i just been out in my s5 turbo(stock aprt from exhaughst/bov/podfilter) and after a little squirt noticed the boost didnt sound right and ther is aslo only minimal boost getting to the bov i cant see any pipes that have come off or are split it sounds like it is coming from the intercooler area but other than that i got no clue is ther any way i can test to see wher its coming from?

I put a suction cup on the throttle body and hook it up to a air compresser and then spray air into the the suction cup and then listen for vac leaks.

That is the only method i use, i seen people use that carb cleaner stuff through there vac lines, but personally i have never use that method.
