Boost Gauge Help

Just got my VDO turbo boost gauge and have everything ready to go . . . only one problem not sure where to conect the vacume hose. I'm new to RX7's and am not sure where is the best place to hook the hose into. I was looking at the hose that goes into the boost pressure sensor behind the air intake, is this a good place or is there a better more accurate one? Any help on installing a boost gauge appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan 87 TII

It really doent matter what line you use as long as its after the trhottle body, I used the one that goes to the boost sensor located on the passenger side strut tower.

yes, you can hook it in there (boost pressure sensor line)...but as i understand it you're supposed to "T" into it closer to the block so the "pill" within the line stays closer to the sensor box.

i think the sensor line goes for like 2 feet or so and then has a white factory "T" in it...this splits and goes to the BOV and something else i think. from what i was told you splice into the boost sensor line before it gets to this factory T...

I conected mine to the spare outlet 3" back from the boost sencer take off at the top of the lower inlet (it has a black blanking plug over it) you have to look carefully as its under the BAC valve.

I like to fit things as neatly as possable.

Mine wasn't like that at all. There were seperate lines for the pressure sensor (from the ACV) and the BOV (manifold). The pill was at the ACV end of the line, you could look down the line and see it about 1" in. I teed off the pressure sensor line for my VDO boost gauge. When I removed the ACV I teed the pressure sensor line into the BOV line as well.

Mines on the back of the intake, since I took the solenoids off.

Just T it into the BOV line thats the easiest way to explain it there are many other ways but for all practical purposes just use the line between the wastegate and the BOV.

There is no line between the wastegate and the BOV! The BOV line goes to the inlet manifold.

My bad the wategate line goes from the gate directly to the turbo on these cars doesn't it Well anyway the BOV line or even the wastegate line would be perfect for t-ing into.
