boost gauge acting funny and bad hesitation
Year 87
Model Turbo II
i just finished replacing all the coolant and vacuum hoses on the car and i dont think anythig was missed since its idling just fine.
when i floor it, the boost gauge reads almost 0 and when im coasting or at idle, it reads like 35inches of mercury or like 17lbs of boost. Somehow i think i may have attached the pressure sensor to the wrong outlet.
if you stand on the pass side of the car the boost pressure sensor vac line is routed to the outlet on the intake manifold that is on the forward side, right by the charge pipe that comes out of the turbo on the air control valve right below the BACV. theres three vacuum ports there on the air bypass valve. does that sound like its plumbed correctly??
also i have a nasty hesitation at 3-4k. its not just the 3500 rpm hesitation its got to be something else. could it be that the pressure sensor is not reading correctly causing the car to not properly inject fuel?
thoughts?
