boost with full Racingbeat on 89t2

here's some info on doing some "tests". 2 days ago I installed a full 3" racingbeat, fcd, and greddy P/H EGT into my 89. with a K&N cone, crane hi-6 ign, and rewired stock fuel pump already. also a manual boost controler turned all the way to "-" (so I was running 5psi before exhaust as stock controler was bypassed)

with exhaust and k&N cone I got 5psi in first, 8 in 2nd, and barely hit 10 in 3rd at about 5500 but then it droped back to 8 by 6000. in forth on the highway I slowly creeped to 11psi then let off as I didn't want to go over 10. even here I only hit about 800C (1500F) so the fuel was ok.

with exhuast and stock air box.

5psi in first, about 7 in 2nd, 8 or 9 in 3rd. and barly hit 10 before droping while WOT up a big hill in 4th at 5000 or so. once again right at 800C so doing just fine fuel wise.

so on a 89+ turbo with a stock airbox the racingbeat exhaust seems to be ok fuel wise and it stays under 10psi with the stock controler disabled.

now to play with the controler to get 8-9 psi in every gear and lower in the rpm range instead of slowly creeping from 5-9 over the rpm range.

oh and the exhuast sounds so SWEET!!

Thats what I am told, but thats not a problem because the wastegate will be getting ported with the exhaust install---also, did you have any difficulty installing the RB?

I didn't do it. but the guy who did had some problems. if the precat has never been taken off it's a pain in the ***. there is a heat shied with like 8 bolts you have to take off and they are all hard to get to. then under that there is a metal "clip" thing that wraps around all 3 precat nuts so they won't come loose over time.

Hey Scott. We have almost the same set up. I have the RB full turbo exhaust, MSD 6A, HKS FCON, and HKS filter, no boost controller. Before I was running only the exhaust, MSD, FCON with stock filter and I got 8 psi in every gear no creep at all and my EGT reading is about 1300 F. With the exhaust MSD, FCON and HKS filter it reached 9 psi in first, 10 in second, but creep all the way too 14-15 from 3rd to 5th.... I was afraid to step on gas. I am local to you so maybe we can exchange some openions.

Hey fcturbo2 we have almost the same set up. I am wondering how many psi of boost are you running and what FMIC is yours.
