boost controler problems

i just installed my turbonetics manual boost controler and its running at 10 psi. when i turn up the controler my boost guage reads 8 psi. the more i turn up the controler the less the guage reads

What mods do you have on the car?
Have you tryd turning it the oposit way and see what happens?
