boost

something i wanna know before i go get a fcd.....how much boost can i run stock on my 1990t2 before it fuel cuts?

Stock boost is limited to 8.6 lbs, or psi.

if you want to keep things simple and make more power I'd pass on the FCD and get a chip that gets rid of the fuel cut, alters fuel and ignition curve and you can run boost pretty safely at about 12psi, IF your fuel pump and injectors are 100%... I use to have a setup simular to that before going with a stand alone and the car ran really nice...until the stock ecu garbage went south.... Not sure who makes chips these days, but mine was a G-Force who sold out to UPRD, and I don't think either company exists... of course there are the J-companies.
